Yesterday was Grandpa Nix's birthday. We called him and he asked me how close I was to Eagle. I told him I was a Star. I'm really a first-class, but I could already have my life.

While I was over at Kevin's house, 2 houses down there was a mildly large brush fire. The fire department came, and they put it out. I smell like smoke because I stayed over there for about 15 minutes.

No offence to her, but sister Roach does not cook very good.

Mom really had an attitude today. I mowed the lawn really short, so mom kept yelling because it's all brown and dead, and grass clippings are EVERYWHERE! And our blower doesn't work, so Mom got even madder.

(P.S. For our activity tonight, There was none planned for the boys, so we joined the girls!! (For the 2nd Time!!)

I was ordained a teacher in the Aaronic priesthood today. I'm really glad I'm not a deacon because now I'm with the older guys, like Kevin Roach & Chris Hathaway. The only thing I will probably miss is the two great leaders I had. Brother Cliff Abbott was my scoutmaster, and Brother Wade Solomon was my quorum advisor.

The Solomons came over, and Brother Solomon was talking about his days in the Air Force. He went to the Air Force Academy, and he's a captain right now. I wanted to ask which congressional leader nominated him, but I didn't.

In two weeks, our family, the Solomons, Fairbanks, and the Ensigns (Jenni!) get to go boating at lake Texhoma for 3 days!

Today, I hosted my 14th Birthday Party. I thought it was going to bomb, but it was awesome. Jenni Ensign, Kevin Roach, Audrey Roach, Connie Roach, Stephanie Laver, Dalton Blocker, Sarah Jerome, Elizabeth Jerome, Marilyn Rich, Reed Samuelson, Deanna Davis, and (whew!) Brittney Haas came. It was dumb at the beggining, but later it was a PARTY! We played Characheds, then sevens, then Murder. I won seven both times we played it. After everyone left (almost), Kevin was going to sleep over, but I'm grounded for screaming so he couldn't. But Sarah Jerome and Marilyn Rich stayed after. Sarah's fun to be with, but she's SO LOUD!

The only thing I regret is that I didn't invite David Roundy or Reebbeca Dunford, both from other wards!

I feel sorry for the dogs right now. They are sleeping in the Dog run. All those bugs and stuff.

I'm at Kevin Roach's right now. Its about 12:30 AM. He listiening to my CD player. The Squirrel Nut Zippers are playing "Hell" on the EDGE right now as Im writing this. Kevins shaking his head up and down with the beats.

I remember when we were at school, I wanted to start a book with "As he strived to be popular..." about Kevin. He's not like that though. He is popular, but not as popular as most. Do you know what, who cares? I'm semi-popular, but Not the full blown packaage.

Kevin rolled his eyes and asked me what I write in this. He said I'm probably writing about him.

I've been really tired the last couple of days, so I just usally went straight to bed.

I'm 14. Grandpa called. I love Grandpa, he's really neat.

Audrey, Kevin, and I went to go see Contact with Jodie Foster at the United Artist.

Kevin and I have been mowing lawns as a buissness. Kevin and Chris Hathaway do it, but CHris is on vacation, so I took his place. Bobby Goodman is in Philmont.

Kevin and I went to the Combined Activity at Church, but there was one problem. It was only for girls, the young women combined activity. We played volleyball, and then ate ice-cream sandwitches.

For my birthday, Kevin gave me a Kit-Kat bar!

One Misty, Moisty, morning, When cloudy was the weather, I met a little old man, all dressed up in leather. He began to compliement, and I began to grin. "How do you do?" "How do you do?" "How do you do again - Erik is pretending he is cold. (We're listning to the tape I used to listen to when I was 5.)

They're was almost no one they're today at church. Then we had APYW/BYC Meeting, then I met the Bishop about becoming a teacher. I told him about how Reed was seeing rated-R movies. And Kevin Chestworth.

Tommorow, Kevin & I are mowing People's laws for a buissness. Chris Hathaway is going on vacation, so I have to take his place. And we have a lot of lawns to mow.

Oh, About my trip to Washington D.C, I didn't even get to see the Whilehouse. I'll probably never see it in my life.

It's Independence Day! We were on the steps of the Capitol watching the fireworks with the Washington Monument in the Background. And while they were going off, the Washington Symphony was playing the 1812 Overture. It was great.

We also visited Gettysburg National Military Park. We went on top of Little Round Top, where I set my poem in. I read it there, and I could see what it was like.

We also ate at a place Resturant there. Dad said they have Bad Food, Bad service, long waits, and they mess up your bill, and we still want you to pay us a 15% gradtuity. I was a bad place, and Dad kept complaing about it. I was REALLY bad. They had only 3 people working for them.

We're in Washington D.C. As I looked out the window, I saw the Capitol and the Washington Monument, and I got that "Yes! Uhh!" It was a wonderful feeling.

Yesterday, when we arrived, we went to the Supreme Court, and the Capitol. The Capitol was awesome. I never Imagined I'd really be here.

We're staying at the Marriott hotel, and yes, I did look in the drawer for a Book of Mormon.

Today, we tried to get into the White House, but all the tickets were gone. Then we waited in Line for the Holocaust Museum, but the line was WAY too long. We ended up going to the Museum of American History. THen we went to the Museum of Air & Space. It was so boring that I fell asleep for 2 Hours in the Hall. After that, we went to an IMAX film. Did you know that food tax here is 8.5%?

We went to Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, a waterpark, and I got sunburned beyond recongnition.

On the way home from camp, we didn't stop for firecrackers because traffic was backed up because of an accident. But later, or Monday, Kevin Roach and I went ot buy them. He spent $44.00, while I spent $30. While we were lighting them, a cop came by and told us we couldn't light them in Flower Mound.

Tommorow, Dad and I leave for Washington D.C. It's going to be awesome.

Last night, Kevin spent the night and at 1:00AM, he threw the big Red ball we have at me. It missed, and instead hit a tower of toys that came crumbling down. Mom was so mad that she came up and took ALL my firecrackers away. But I'll get them back.
